resetting service light..... 900 1996

all service needed was done a bit early on the car and the service engine light is now coming on for its 2 minute interval. i just read the FAQ's and know to look for a black rubber cap/plug on the back of the cluster. is there an easy way to get to this thing i'venever seen before?? which side of the cluster is it on?? any other hints?? it's the wife's '96 960 and she's freaking out over me fiddlin' 'round under there.......you know.....
