145 axle assembly fit in a 245? 200

I have at my disposal a 145 for parts, and my '83 240 has a LOT of differential backlash. Deos anyone know, besides brakes and a different gear ratio, what would make transplanting the axle from the 145 undesireable/impossible?
I'm trying to be a cheapskate here and not find the 240 L/S I really want! :)
