raising the engine 200 1987

Need to raise the engine to change the oil pan gasket.
Any suggestions on best way? Is there a better way?
I had heard you could install gasket without doing this but I think with oil pump being there it would require cutting the gasket and also no sludge removal. Appreciate any help.
