vdo gauge 200 1978

i realize this is a simple question, but on the back of these gauges made by VDO, the ones that fit in the extra slots on post-81s, there is a 12V, Ground, and then an upside down T, or what reminds me of a perpendicular sign from geometry class. im pretty sure its not the electrical feed pertaining to the gauge, because there is already one of those on there. im just puzzled, or overlooking something, about the upside down "T".
