ARRGGGHH!!!!!!! Cant get blower motor out!!!!!!! 200 1983

Started changing the blower motor on an 83 240 today. I cant seem to get that lower left big central unit outer end off.The right was no prob. but the left has all these wires in the way and i can't get that thing to move very much. I can get it to separate from the other one though. I've been trying to remove the metal plate that runs along under the steering column to come off, i removed all visible screws and still that thing wont budge much. I'm trying to get this done before monday so any help is appreciated. Please email me if possible: ghop-91@hotmail.com.
