Exhaust manifold stud problem! 200 1983

What is the proper torque for exhaust manifold studs? Torque for the Head and Manifold? I can't seem to keep mine in after engine rebuild. They are either breaking, I guess because of low grade studs and heat. And they are also vibrating out. I sucked up the ridiculous $8.00 per stud and purchased new ones from Volvo and am going to give it another try.

In the process of loosing studs (at one time a total of 4),the exaust leak got really bad (loud). Could there have been any damage to the exhaust ports. The leaks were on the 3 and 4 cylinders.
