Should I get rid of ABS??? 200 1993

What a bummer!! The ABS components on my 93 are a PITA to deal with during strut changes,etc. I am still not convinced these are better than the 2 line system of the original 240 brakes. What happens if one line breaks (no brakes??). The back line only has one line, the front only has one per caliper. The old system had two front lines per caliper and one per rear.
I have calipers,rotors,etc from an 83 240...should I change over? What say you, VolvoGurus???
