Thanks to all the bricksters!
Got one for ya'll...Our pristine '84 244 GLTi was recently t-boned. My donor body for the $2000 worth of parts is a '83 244 GLT (with a blown motor). I sucessfully transplanted my '84 B21FT and M46 into the '83, with new mounts all around. Replaced all the fuses, put in new battery, new fuel filter and it started right up! The only problem is that it runs like *&^*! Real rough-reminded me of the time the '84 did the same thing...so I removed the brand new intank pump from the '84 and put it in the '83....started right up! Still rough! DARNNNNIT!. Checked all vac lines again...found the electrical connection to CIS was off! Eureka! started right up...Still rough! Switched fuel pump relays, same thing! Help ! I also switched the air/fuel box.
Where do I go from here? Should I switch the main pump tomorrow?
Thanks for the help with the clutch cable (I'm now an expert!)
