16g turbo from a DSM 700 1989

Ok, my current turbo has just about had it. It's a TD05-12b on my 1989 745Ti.

I'm looking at a sweet deal on a compressor housing and center cartridge from an eclipse. It's a 16g and it's got 2,500 miles on it.

Do you think this'll fit into my existing exhaust turbine housing from the 12b?

In my semi-limited knowledge of turbo's, I thought if I upgraded my turbo to a 16g by Turbotrix or Turbo City, that all they'd do is send me a new center cartridge and machine my compressor housing.

So, my question clarified, is it possible to use the center cartridge and compressor housing from a DSM on my Volvo?
