Dead Gauges 200 1985

Need some help locating the voltage regulator controling the gas and temp gauge on my 85 GL wagon. Both gauges are dead, and I have it from a good source (thanks Don!) this probably means the VR is shot. Where do I start the Easter Egg hunt?
