Oil Light - only on acceleration 700 1985

Trolling for a quick answer, as I'm at work and will be taking a long hard look at the car this evening. The Old Gray Ghost, '85 740 w/ 328K, has been reported by my wife as having an intermittent oil light. According to her, "The light comes on a few seconds (like 2 maybe) after I step on the gas. It goes off a few seconds after I take my foot off the gas pedal." Oil level is known good. Wiring? Oil pump? Ideas appreciated in advance of my actual troubleshooting.
