Torque 900 1993

New to the board - enjoying the reading. 93/940 sedan 122k miles.

I've read in the threads that proper lug nut torque is the essential preventative to not warping the rotors.

The question is, what type of torque wrench do I buy? I've seen 1/2" and 3/8" and don't know the difference. I do know that I need to buy one that will generate the correct amount of torque.

What is the target amount, by the way? I've heard anywhere between 65-85, which seems like a large range. Also, how to I avoid the "trap" of applying US torque versus a metric target?

I'd also take any advice on changing my own strut bearings. I've got the "classic" symptom (as defined in the 700/900 FAQ) of a quick pull to the left when braking, as well as vibration when braking above 30 mph. Is this something a first timer could accomplish with proper instructions?

I love the car, but am getting a little tired of spending $s on it. I think between the bushings, rear rotors/pads, and maybe engine mounts, I should be done for a while. Should I attempt any of these as a novice?

Thoughts appreciated.
