On the way home last night my 1985 240 wagon radiator sprung a pretty good leak . It's just a trickle when not under pressure but when I blow on the reservior it cam out pretty fast. My question is how to do an repair in the most economical manner that will last a reasonable amount of time ( I plan to sell or donate this car) and upgrade to a later model in the next couple of months when I find the right one.
My options:
1. There are aftermarket radiator available for about $160.00 but I really don't want to spend that amount of $ on this car.
2. Due to the latest modle being 9 years old, it seems the the pick-n-pull variety could be a big waste of time (70 mi r/t) in likely getting a bad one,
3. I like look a the possibility of repairing the one I have and am looking for suggestions on low cost DIY repair methods.
Thanks
