Hello there,
My son's '84 760 Volvo Turbo would not crank over after having run fine during the day. When he got in and put in the key and tried to crank the engine it would not crank. I pulled the spark plugs and it cranked over BUT gas came gushing out (I MEAN A WHOLE LOT and not just a mist either) from mainly the #4 cylinder. We are also hearing a hissing noise before the engine is cranked over. I sort of suspect the Fuel Pressure Regulator or the Fuel Injector on #4 or even the Electronic Control Unit or a combination.
Just to make it interesting also all of the warning lights on the instrument cluster came on and have stayed on even with the key out of the ignition.
Boy I'm really confused. Any thoughts?
