Considering buying a 1990 760 700

I currently own a 95 940, and am considering purchasing a 1990 760 turbo wagon with 202,000 miles, as a second vehicle. The car is in excellent shape in and out. The leather looks like new and the paint looks fantastic with no rust. The steering is nice and tight and all accessories work. I have searched this site and cannot find much about the 760 engines. The car is being sold by the local small Volvo(& Benz) dealer, but there was no maint records - as a result the dealer is attempting to see if the PO has. The car was not maintained by the selling dealer.

I won't even consider buying without records.

Several questions:

Why is it called a 760 if the engine is a 4 cyl? Is it the same as my B230? Anything to do with the number of valves?

Are there any concerns / problems with such high miles on this type of engine. My main concern would be replacing the turbo sooner than later.

I did notice that the boost gage is not normally in the middle of the gage, rather leaning to the left about 1/8- 1/4. Is this a sign of a problem. the enigne runs smooth and there is no unusual noises like hissing or grinding.

Thanks - This is a great site and an incredible service to all.
