a kid buying an 86 740t; 135k 700

I found an 86 740 turbo with 135k miles for $2800. original owner. I haven't called yet, but wanted to know if this would be a good deal for a first car. I have about five grand saved up but nedd money left over for repairs. My parents want me to stay away from high mileage and turbos, but I thiught if I cuold get it for less then I would have money to fix stuff. My general question here is: What would be major things I could expect to go wrong within 10k miles? Also, is the wiring harness curse a major problem or is it one pf those things that happen if the car is poorly taken care of? Anyway, I don't mind the miles because I know that that isn't many, and replacing a turbo isn't the end of the world; I need the pwer so at least when kids at school say the car is ugly I have something to show them. My parents are the Honda type; avoid every problem. Not everything is perfect. I would be willing to take the chance!
