ABS Quirks 700 1989

Finally enjoying my "new" '89 740T after its rebuild. Love that boost.

Occasionally, the ABS light stays on after starting (perhaps in one out of 10 starts). Restarting will always cure this symptom. Also, when stopping from relatively slow speeds (parking lot speed), the ABS will sometimes cycle as if the wheels were losing traction (perhaps one out of 40 stops).

Is there some maintenance to the ABS system that should be performed, and was possibly neglected by the previous owner? Car has 163K miles.
