Speakers Can I Put Some In My Rear Doors?(1980,244 GL) 200 1980

I have an alright speaker system in my car at the moment. I have 2 4" Ultimates in the front and 2 4" pioneers in the back. Now my question is i am thinking of buying some 6X9s to fit in the rear platform in the cab where the 4" pioneers are located this means i have 2 4" speakers to spare and i was wondering if i could some how install them into the rear doors. I haven't heard of this and it would require custom cutting but i am wondering if any one has seen or hear of it. Any imput would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
