I've recently acquired an '86 740GLE with an exploded (literally) transmission. Clutch and bellhousing are intact, but theres nothing but a broken/twisted input shaft where the gearbox should be, the tail end of the transmission was in the trunk, but I'm pretty sure there's nothing useful there. I can get another tranny (manual) for $200, but it's going to be missing some stuff. Mainly I'll need the shifter assy, the rubber donut that connects it to the driveshaft, and any other misc. parts that were left scattered on the highway when the gearbox fragged. Can anybody help me?
