Ok, off to work at 1:30 Thursday morning and had to bust through snowdrifts to get out the driveway. About 2 miles later the engine quit so when I popped the hood the engine compartment was full of snow. Brushed and pushed snow and in 15 minutes I was on my way with everything working perfectly. On the way home in the afternoon I tapped the overdrive button to lock it out as my road and driveway were quite drifted. Today my overdrive won't engage. Everything under the hood is dry, I can hear the overdrive relay clicking. When I engage the OD, the orange arrow dims and flickers and when I disengage the OD the arrow brightens up to a normal brightness as it would were it disengaged.
I see there is no fuse indicated in the manual for the overdrive. I'm wondering if I have a loose wire underneath or if the relay possibly gave up the ghost or something else shorting out. Seems too coincidental that something didn't happen yesterday. I have a 160k service next week so I can run around for a few days without OD if I have to. Just wondering what I should check out if I get a chance to look at anything before then.
