91 740 Turbo Stalls ! 700

Hi
I have a 91 740 Turbo. The engine stalls when I start form cold for 2 or 3 times then the Idling gets stable. But if I hit the gas slowly It again stalls. So I had to press the gas hard (over 1000 RPM )With a foot on the brake ( Auto gear ) to get it going.

Please let me know what I should do to have a smooth acceleration.
