Exhaust Leak at Manifold to Turbo Flange 700

After looking over all the helpful info about exhaust manifold servicing I've yet to find anything about leaks at the flange, which is definitely the case with this 1992 740. It doesn't appear there's a gasket used here, just surface to surface. Has anyone had these machined to restore the surface? If so, has/could this present a problem with oil return tube alignment?
