B21 with lambda sond
bought for $45
hi all,
My dad and I got creative and hooked up the cold start injector to a wire that comes on only when the starter is cranking, then the other wire to ground. So when I crank, it injects fuel in there. Now it only takes one turn of the key to start the car.
I looked at the way my fuel lines were connected. Where we have the rubber fuel hose connected where the idiot previous owners hacked up the fuel line, there was a possible kink in it. I corrected it. Took the car for a test drive, it still strains above 3200 RPM or so, but didn't have jerkiness like wasn't getting the fuel it needed.
I think what I am going to do is take the spark plug wires off one at a time while idling, and see if one does not make the engine run much worse than it did when connected. If that one does not change the running condition, then I will take out that injector and test it. Beyond that, I'll just have to see how it goes.
Sound good? I believe so.
