740 Wagon Overdrive Question -- 140K 700 1992

Yesterday my wagon would not shift into OD on the highway. It eventually shifted, and after that it worked normally. The same thing happened this afternoon. I am looking for diagnosis suggestions. I am assuming that it is either the relay or solinoid, but would perfer to have a positve diagnosis. Trans fluid has 9K on it and is at the correct level.
