I was poking around my supposedly rust-free 245ti friday and found a little bubble that i thought looked like a paint drip. Turned out to be a bubbled up bit rust. Problem is that the hole (about the size of half a dime) is underneath the rubber seal for the side-trunk window, on the bottom-forward corner. I cleaned the area and applied por-15 but I can't really get access to the hole very well and it doesn't seem like removing and installing the glass is an easy thing to do. How should I seal this up to keep water from getting inside and the rust from spreading? Can the glass be removed and reinstalled with basic tools? Is it even worth the effort for a very small hole? Should i try to seal it with a little por-15, bondo and paint, as best as possible without removing the glass?

To make matters worse, I was underneath the car and the rear-left floorboard, which was the closest to the previously described hole, had two bubbled up areas, each about an inch in diameter. I am dreading what I will find when I pull the carpets to assess the damage.

All this on a car that spent its life in Southern California.
