Is is possible to add cruise control from an 86 to a 93? 200

Hi - I've located a complete cruise control system in an '86 240, and I'm wondering if it is posible to add it to my '93? Looking in the Bentley manual, though the systems are different 86-89 and 90-93, it seems as if it is a fairly closed system, with it's onw vacuum pump, control unit, etc., the only external electrical inputs being the 12V power, the speedo signal, and brake light switch, and mechanical control of the throttle. Am I oversimplifying? Would the '86 control unit interface with the speedo singal cause possible ABS issues? Has anyone tried/done this install before? tia, Doug
