Ok, I work for Accel and am having a bit of trouble diagnosing this nightmare. Yesterday, I started my 87 740 GLE w 222K and pulled it into the street. I shut it off and went inside. I started the car to let it warm up and it started right up and ran for about 5 minutes and just died. I went to re-start it and there was no tach movement. I checked the coil lead......no spark. The coil has power, but no aparent signal. I slapped ona new coil just to be safe. I pulled the distributer and it looks like it is brand new (I bought the car 10K ago). There was no oil inside and everything tested OK per the FAQ "Hall test specs". The timing belt is intact and the coil wire tested OK too. I need some help on this one.......
