I have a 1991 745 Turbo with automatic transmission. I will doing a transmision fluid change later this weekend. I bought the power flush transmission hose from IPD to do the fluid change. My question to you all is this: Should I also change the transmission filter and transmission gasket?

This might seem a funny question, but I am asking because none of the online Volvo parts vendor list the transmission filter and gasket in their respective online parts listing and IPD states that I might have hard time putting my pan back in the right place without messing up the transmission fill tube positions.

If any of you have replace the transmission fluid did you have any problem doing so and did you do it the old fashion way? ie. Drop the pan to let out fluid, replace filter, replace gasket, and tighten up pan. vs. power flush via transmission cooler outlet nipple. If I do the power flush my hands does not even touch the pan and gasket.
