i have an '82 wagon w/ the b23e engine & the k-jet system, thought i'd try taking off the tbi to do a cleaning like in the instructions given for the LJ-jet on ipdusa.com's website, however after removing the throttle linkage & unbolting it, it wouldn't drop down. it flexed downwards, but still seemed to be retained by something. i couldn't get the large hose off the backside, but i assumed it couldn't be all that was holding the tbi in place. beyond the 3 nuts, is there anything else that keeps it in place ? what about cleaning the MAS unit at the bottom ? it had oily sludge in it as well, but i didn't want to prod into it too much for fear of damaging something ... this is my first car with fuel injection, so i'm a little worried about breaking some little expensive parts. any info on tuning/cleaning the k-jet system ?
thanks.
this board & the users really rock, i can't imagine finding anything like this for any of my previous cars =)
