Small translucent plastic gear out of my Odometer 200 1986

Help!!!

I finally took apart my odometer on my 86 240GL and found the small plastic planetary gear was missing a tooth. I removed the gear and a few more gears fell off. This gear is somewhat flexable and extremly brittle. I felt like I was trying to pick up a Daddy Longlegs spider...every time I touched it it broke worse. I know that several others have posted that there is no replacement for this gear. I was wandering if anyone had made a gear? If so what did you make it from? I am also thinking about having a small mold built that I could shoot some of these gears with. Are there any suggestions of what type of plastic to use.
