Greg, I also have an '81 B21F. It also has the not wanting to start unless hot or cold situation. I read your suggestion regarding the impulse relay. You said it was next to the ignition box, do you mean that ecm type thing on the right side near the windshield washer res., or is it near the ignition coil on the left side, I'm unclear on where it is. I imagine if I look around I can find it, but since you know for sure I'd like some input. Also, does it start pulsing after 1.5 seconds regardless of temperature, or does it vary. Like if I test it cold or hot will I be able to tell? Thanks alot in advance, this is the last bug that my 240 has, and it would be awesome to get this one worked out. Especially without paying "Guido the Volvo mechanic" $300 for him to stare at it for two days, replace some part and still have the problem. No he's a good mechanic, I'm just frustrated. --Matt
