Just took a call from my daughter on the other coast; 88 245 DL w/AW70... says that when she puts it in gear/any gear including reverse, usually when its cold or sitting a while, it will behave like its in neutral then finally move into gear with a jerk.

My immediate instructions to her was to check the fluid level and fill if low. The car has a slight rear tailshaft leak and so its likely the fluid could be low.

What else could these symptoms suggest?
