Humming sound while stopped in 'Drive' 200 1987

A few months ago my 240 started to make an intermitent "humming" sound that is also accompanied by a slight vibration. It only occurs while the car is in drive and the car is stopped. No sound while driving or in neutral or park while stopped. Lately it seems to be getting worse. Could it be related to an exaust problem. I recently had a used header pipe put on the car. Also, the trasmission fluid is almost new, I thought replacing it might help. It didn't. Any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated. Brad 244 295k
