SU Carb condensation... 444-544

OK, so here's a question....the vacuum chamber on the forward SU carb on my '64 544 periodically has been filling with water condensation, I assume through the crankcase ventilation hose that's hooked up to it. This results in the carb slide sticking and returning poor performance until I take apart the upper portion of it, clean everything, and put it back together. Anyone else having a similar problem? I suppose it could just be due to the lousy weather in the Northwest this time of year, but I don't recall it doing this last winter.....
