Hard start when wet overnight 700 1990

My 1990 740 (regina/bendix FI) is hard to start whenever it has rained overnight or is damp and foggy. I can eventually get it going, but it runs badly for 10-15 seconds and then clears up and it fine. I have checked ignition wires, distributer cap etc. Anyone have any ideas??
