How to wire new ambient temp. gauge 200 1987

i just got an ambient temperature gauge from an ebay auction. just curious as to what fuse you think i should wire it to. also, it says on the back "for 12 volt negative ground vehicles only" you can see i don't know an awful lot about electronics (it's not volvo or vdo) will it work? finally, does anyone have a suggestion for a substitute for the little rubber gauge mounting feet? i don't know whether or not they're included with the bezel i bought. i was thinking of using rubber bands somehow. thanks for the help
