Just had the clutch replaced by a Volvo dealer.
The gearshift level now seems to have a lot of
side to side play when in gear. In neutral the
side by side play is the same as when you put
it in first or second gear. In other words, in
third gear I can push the gear shift lever left
to the first gear location and it will stay in
that area. You can almost think it is in first
if you push left but it really is in second. Basically,
the H pattern for shifting is very loose.

Before, the clutch replacement if it was in third,
not much play to the left. Now when in second
or fourth gear can push side to side at least 2 inches.
Dealer says that it is adjusted correctly.

Any ideas?
