'86 240 wagon won't deliver gas 200 1986

Sometimes when I am starting from a dead stop, the accelerator doesn't give the car any gas (it is a 5 speed manual). It just lurches for a few seconds. Eventually, after I pump it a few times it will snap out and start delivering gas again. This is a big hassle, especially in traffic. I just had the throttle body and the idle motor replaced and was told the problem would go away. Also, I find if I rev it pretty high before I let the clutch out it doesn't happen. Any information would be great.
