Leather/vinyl door pockets? 200 1986

Is it possible to replace the plastic "map" pockets on the driver and front passenger doors with leather/vinyl pockets? I've seen this on an Amazon and p1800. Looks like they were just sewn onto the door panel.

Has anyone done this before on a 240?
