Cracked and leaking front strut bellows 700 1987

Hi, everyone,

An '87 760GLE with ABS (192k miles)

I have noticed last weekend that my front strut bellows are cracked at both sides, and leaking black oil (grease?) from passenger side now. Car is making loud thunder-like noise over the bumps or small pitholes from the passenger side. I drove the car for a round trip to Houston area (~300 miles) last Saturday. The "ABS" light went on, and stayed on, when I was in a slow speed in a gas station trying to find a slot to fill up the tank. The light did not come on after tank fill-up. This is the first time ever I have this "ABS" light on while driving. Would this two events related somehow? If not, why the "ABS" light went on for a short period of time? Is it time to R&R struts now? What else need to be checked and replaced at this time? Thanks for the help in advance.

Joseph
