242 trans swap? 200

im thinkin about buying a 242 with a blown trany for a v-8 transplant....i want to drive the car around before its dissasmebeled to make sure everything is sound...i have the aw-71 out of my 85 765 turbo, and i understand the 242 has an aw-55..are these interchangealbe??? and if so, do any parts need to be swapped out besides just the trans.
