40 miles in reverse?? 200

80 242 with an auto trans...it will not go into drive, only reverse....i need to move the car 40 miles. any tricks of the trade?? ive heard of small amounts of brake fluid into the trans to swell the seals, and type F fluid because of thicker viscosity. im trying to avoid a tow. any suggestions
