88 240 running extremely rich - My mechanic can't find the problem 200 1988

"If Ulf from Sweden can't find the problem, no one can." says my parts store, IPD. All sensors test OK, FPR OK, replaced ECU. Replaced AMM. 200K miles. Especially bad when cold. Plugs totally black. Horrible gas mileage. Seems like it's "missing" when cold sometimes, especially on accelleration (sp?). The FAQ suggests checking injectors for leakage; I'll probably try that next unless anyone out there has other advice. Meantime I'm biking it here in rainy Portland,OR.
