vacuum leak? 200

I hear a release of vacuum every time I shut my engine off. Sounds like it is coming from the center console area. I took the kick panels off and it really sounds like it is coming from the passenger side. There is a part that I have no idea what it is...white, plastic, like a small cannister with a small vacuum line coming from each end.

What is this thing, where do those lines go, and could this be the problem?
