Oil Breather Box On b234F 700

I'm replacing cylinder head (still) on a 1990 740 gle 16v. I removed the oil breather box. It seems to me that when I did this on 1985 B230f 8v engine, it looked a lot different. Anyway, the longer of the two tubes on this piece seems to be completely blocked! Is there anything in there to worry about if I take a long wire or drill bit and clean it?

I don't know how long it had been junked up but the mess in there seems as hard as a rock!.

Thanks,

jc
