Injector Spray Patterns 700

Am I correct in thinking that the way to view the spray pattern of the injectors on a 1990 B230FT is to:
1. Pull the entire fuel rail out with the injectors connected.
2. Fit containers under the individual injectors.
3. Disconnect the high voltage wire between the coil and the distributor.
4. Have someone crank the engine while you view the spray.
