installing a limited slip diff. on my 745 turbo wagon 700 1990

I want to get rid of the stock rear end and go for a limited slip.
I got a quote for $1000 canadian (parts & labour, after tax) to put in a "detroit tru-trac" limited slip rear end. about $100 less for the "dana Power-lok"

am I being ripped? Or is this guy being honest?
