Braided oil pressure hose bleeding severely 1800

It took me a while but I finally found the oil leak which has turned into an oil downpour. The braided hose between a brass fitting on the engine block and the dash is the culprit. The connections on both ends give me pause. I can't tell how this hose is connected. What is the best way to approach this animal? You're talking to a novice here. Thanks team!
