m46 vs. m47 transmission swap ? 200 1982

my tranny is pretty much shot (an m46 w/ od), the wreckers has several cheap replacements, however is it possible to swap in an m47 5 speed instead ? any suggestions while inspecting the transmissions at the wreckers ? i'm also getting a vibration from the rear at speed 100+km/hr it becomes quite noticeable, beyond the tires being out of balance, any suggestions there ?
