760 TI will not restart. Turns But Doesn't fire up! 700 1987

Hello again I'mposting this on behalf of my brother who has a 1987 760 TI. The car just refuses to restart sometimes. You can crank the engine but it doesn't want to fire and go. The car has a half a tank of gas!!!!
